Meet Blacktop Bloodline
Blacktop Bloodline is a Red Dirt and Outlaw Country band built on family, friendship, and a shared love for real music. Based in Oklahoma and performing throughout Oklahoma and Texas, and even farther if opportunity arises, the band blends powerful originals, crowd-favorite covers, and high-energy live performances into a show that keeps audiences engaged from the first note to the last encore.
At the heart of Blacktop Bloodline is the father-and-son duo of Dylan Powell and Doug "Pappy" Powell. With more than three decades of semi-professional experience, Pappy brings seasoned musicianship and lead guitar firepower, while Dylan delivers strong vocals, rhythm guitar, and the passion of a performer who has been on stage since childhood.
Holding down the low end is bassist and songwriter Nik Tyler, whose steady groove and creative influence help shape the band's signature sound.
Completing the lineup is drummer Gage Worley. From his very first rehearsal with the band, it was clear he was the missing piece. His timing, energy, and feel behind the kit immediately locked the group together, bringing a new level of drive and chemistry to the Blacktop Bloodline sound.
Blacktop Bloodline has earned recognition throughout the regional music scene, including membership in the Texas Country Music Association, nomination for Top Country Band at the Josie Music Awards, and recognition in the Texas Country Music Industry Awards. Their original music has found success on country music charts both in the United States and abroad, including a #1 song on the European Country Music Association chart.
